Why I started AlityLife

This blog post was originally an email newsletter sent by Ali to her mailing list.

Have you ever wondered why you click with some people and get triggered by others? I used to- and I’ve spent the last year creating a platform that explains why…

In July 2018 I received an email that changed my life. It was an invitation to give a talk at the TEDxUNSW event. I had 2 weeks to prepare a 500-word summary of my proposed topic.

I was really excited to give a TEDx talk. The only problem was; I didn’t know what I wanted to talk about.

It wasn’t that I couldn’t think of anything- it was that I could think of too many things. (Anyone who knows me or has read my book will know I am an overthinker!)

To focus, I asked myself some big questions:

  • If I could contribute one idea to the planet, what would I want it to be?
  • What do I want my children to deeply understand?
  • How do I sum up my life’s work?

And this is what I came up with: The power of positive human connections.

This was my one answer to those three questions.

The TEDx talk focused and channeled my work. I created a model of human connection that identifies how we all like to connect in relationships and teams. It explains and predicts who you click with. It unlocks your leadership type and your communication style. I called it the Walker Connection Model.

That was a great start, but I knew there was much more to be done. That’s when I decided to start AlityLife, with the vision to help people connect personality to purpose. We use two assessments to do so:

  1. AlityConnect, which uncovers how you connect and engage with people.
  2. AlityMotivate, which uncovers what drives you and how you need to be rewarded to feel fulfilled in work and play.

We haven’t created just another personality test; we’ve created a platform to help people to see and reach their highest potential.

And we are launching it today!

AlityLife

If you are receiving this, you are part of the first three thousand people to either follow our newsletter or take the beta version of the AlityConnect assessment.

As a small way of saying thanks, I wanted to send a little pre-launch gift. You can access the Profile on our website and use the 3000CLUB code to get 30% off!

And to get to know each other a little better, I would love to hear about your most memorable human connection experience. In fact, the best story in 100 words or less will get access to the AlityLife assessments for free!

I can’t wait to read your story.

Stay connected,

Ali
